Alpine Sun Ski & Sport was established in Winter Park, Colorado, in 1980. Frank and Gigi Dominguez purchased Alpine Sun Ski & Sport in 1984 and have owned and operated the ski rental shop for the past 23 years. Frank has worked full time for Alpine Sun Ski & Sport and has over 35 years experience in the ski rentl business as a technician, sales representative, buyer, manager and owner. He takes great pride in providing quality service and products to each customer. Gigi Dominguez has worked in the ski industry for over 25 years as a Certified Instructor, Group Sales Coordinator, Operations Manager for the National Sports Center for the Disabled and Consultant. She has always worked for Alpine Sun and is currently responsible for marketing, reservations, and group coordination. Alpine Sun employs two other full time employees, Dan Whitehurst and Pat Wales, and four part time employees including Gary Redfield, Trey Cloninger, Kris Newberry, and Frank and Gigi's sons Gregory and Jordan. Both sons are full time College students, but find time to work on busy holidays. After their second son Jordan was born in 1988, the birth announcement in the paper read "Alpine Sun & Sons". Collectively the staff at Alpine Sun has over 60 years of experience working for AlpineSun Ski & Sport. Our employees are all certified technicians and come with a wealth of knowledge in the ski industry. After the snow flies, Alpine Sun swifts gears during the summer months and operates a Pine Beetle Spraying business.. Alpine is quickly becoming known as Skis & Trees. Alpine is conveniently located in Old Town Winter Park only a 1/4 of a mile from the Winter Park Resort. Customers have the luxury of parking for free and riding the free shuttle bus to the base of the Winter Park Resort. We personally fit each customer's rental boot and we have special free and 1/2 price offers for children and juniors. Customers renting are Demo Package can try out a different ski everyday. Alpine Sun has high tech tuning, service and repair equipment and for the customer needing a ski or board tune an overnight service is available. Forget your socks?
